##### Interested in ***ENERGY*****? Decarbonization? Lunch?** Come learn about energy science and technology through informal talks with a group of friendly peers at Harvard Energy & Sustainability Club!

##### We are a student-led club that meets weekly to deepen our understanding of the technical details of energy technology and science. These themes are often complex and interconnected.

##### Our topics, chosen based on member interest, generally fall within the following broad categories:

- ##### Renewable resources (e.g. solar, hydro, wind, biomass/fuels, geothermal)
- ##### Industrial energy use (e.g. steel, fertilizer, concrete, chemicals)
- ##### Transportation (e.g. cars, *trains*, planes, shipping, public infrastructure)
- ##### Infrastructure (e.g. electric grid, electricity storage)
- ##### Non-renewable resources (e.g. nuclear, carbon capture & storage)
- ##### Relevant other fields (e.g. thermodynamics, social science, climate, funding & policy, economics & finance)

##### The HEJC is open to students and postdocs within the Harvard and MIT communities. We welcome members to use their presentations as a chance to learn something new - specific technical expertise is not expected, but curiosity and respectful and engaged discussion is!

### **Meetings**

##### Each week during the semester, we discuss one or more topics relevant to the science and technology of energy.

##### Meetings for the Fall 2025 semester are held Fridays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in MCZ 440 in the Harvard University Center for the Environment, which is located on the fourth floor of the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ), 26 Oxford St. Directions are available [here](http://environment.harvard.edu/about/directions).

##### If you are interested in presenting at a meeting, please let us know!
